The Parents

And here they are: Gwen's parents!
(I had been contemplating about what they should look like, so I whipped up the sketch and colored it in today. )

Bio: Living on his own in New York, Henry traveled from the city to the country side to get himself settled down. Even though the humans were hard to avoid, he enjoyed the thrill of adventure. Though at times he can be serious, concerning safety. One night, he found a large colony of rats escaping from a place called NIMH. Upon seeing them, he met a female rat, Adeline. Although he had no clue what was going on, he followed them, and ended up at a farm. In the front yard was a rose bush, so the rats of NIMH could live there. Thinking about Adeline, he went and visited the rosebush from time to time. The more they spent time together, the more they felt for each other. So, they decided to spend the rest of their lives together. So, Adeline left the rat colony. But upon living together in the first year, Adeline became pregnant with Henry's baby. At first they were excited but at the same time, they were scared. They didn't have the faintest clue on how to take care of a child. So Henry thought of trying his best to raise it, but finding out that Farmer Fitzgibbons had a cat, there was no way that they could protect it. So they had to resort to leaving the child with someone in the rat colony to raise their child. After they did, the parents were found and killed by the cat.

Bio: Adeline was a colony rat, along with many others. She was a street rat before she was captured with the other rats by NIMH. After being experimented on, she and the rats became intelligent then escaped. Upon escaping, she met a rat named Henry. She didn't see him with the rest of the colony before so she assumed he wasn't from around there. But after leaving with her group, they wound up in a rosebush on a farm. That was when she started seeing Henry more often. Within a few months, she left the colony to live with him. A year later, she was expecting a baby. She didn't know how to raise children but she knew some who could. So she told Henry and he agreed. So later one evening, they traveled to the rosebush to go see someone about raising their baby. But as they both knew, the farmer's cat, Dragon was out and about, so they had to hurry. Therefore, Henry kept an eye out while Adeline quickly traversed into the bush. After hearing his scream from outside, she bid their baby a last farewell before setting her down and ran back out to help him. But it was too late. He had already been eaten by the cat. She wanted to run but she couldn't make it, as Dragon caught up to her as well.
Later inside, the baby had began crying softly, which one of the rats heard and picked the small bundle up. He was a young rat, who's name was Justin. He was concerned about who had left the child, so he went to Mr. Ages to ask what to do with her. But in a short huff, he sarcastically suggested that he go to Jenner. Thinking it was a bad idea, he decided to go to Nicodemus.
