Bio: As a young girl, Ciela had wanted to become a dancer and an artist. Living with only her mother, life in San Angel wasn't always easy. Her father was a Sanchez who fought alongside Captain Mondragon against the bandit King, Chakal, and so she honored her father on the Day of the Dead.
Growing up, she had practiced dancing to mariachi music and made friends with the Mariachi band and Manolo Sanches.
On the day Maria Posada returned to San Angel, Ciela watched from the sidelines. Seeing that he didn't kill the bull, she was proud of him to do that and left. Later, one of the Bulls got loose and ran to town, and Ciela ran to push a nun out of the away as she got trampled. When she woke up, she arrived in the Land of the Remembered. Meeting with the rest of the Sanchez family, she met La Muerte, Xibalba and the Candle Maker.
